About us & BOOKING
Booking for 2024 opens feb 1st. Please read the full info below before you book. We use online booking only, click on the category ”Bokning 2024” here on the website and then scroll down to the booking window (visible from Feb 1st). You can choose English language in the booking window, and hit the ”show availability” button to see all bookable dates/tents during the season.
Svartsö Logi is a small canvas tent lodge on the island of Svartsö, right in the heart of the Stockholm archipelago. In our comfortable furnished canvas tents we offer our guests a relaxed over night experience with unique closeness to the beautiful archipelago nature, just a stone’s throw from the shoreline. Our ambition is to provide you with the same comfort as in a hotel, but in a little more rustic and natural way.
At Svartsö Logi you stay with our lodging package included – Enjoy a five course dinner at the restaurant Svartsö Krog, fall asleep to the calming sounds of the nature and the sea, then wake up to a lovely breakfast served in a basket and delivered to your tent the following morning.
the tents
Our lodge consists of canvas tents mounted on wooden deckings, each with a small furnished private terrace in front facing the sea.
The tents are all personally furnished with rugs and sheepskins on the floor, real beds with warm down duvets and pillows, electric heating, lanterns and a lot of atmosphere.
We have five tents, and they each hold different amount of beds. So please read this before you book! These are our double room tents:
-Skogsgläntan ”the forest glade” – 1 double queen size bed (160 cm)
-Mittentältet ”the middle tent” – 1 double queen size bed (160 cm)
-Trädkojan ”the tree house tent” – 1 double queen size bed (160 cm) + 1 single bed (80 cm)
Our last two tents are for larger groups of 4-8 persons and as they stand side by side, they are only booked together:
-Sandstrandstälten ”the beach tents” – two tents side by side, each with 1 double queen size bed (160 cm) + 2 single beds (80 cm). Minimum of persons. They are automatically booked together!
Prices 2022
Our lodging package costs 2500-2600 kr/person & night (depending on whether you book low/high season)
The price includes:
-5-course seasonal dinner at the restaurant Svartsö Krog
-Lodging in the tent with made bed and bath towel
-Our breakfast basket served right by your tent in the morning
Kids?
We do not have any separate kids prices. We only offer our regular lodging package above, including 5-course dinner at Svartsö Krog & breakfast. Kids are welcome, but a booked bed always includes the 5-course dinner & breakfast – simply because it’s a large part of the lodging package. By experience we think that as an adult, you will enjoy what with we offer best leaving smaller kids at home with a babysitter, or with older kids who appreciate a long nice dinner!
(Babies/small children who can share the double bed with their adults are welcome to do so, at no extra cost (no dinner/breakfast included), please note we do not have any cots/cribs.)
BOOKING POLICY & CONDITIONS
When you book online here on our website, you do the payment by credit card at booking. We apply safe payments via Stripe. (At all cancellations we keep an administration fee of 10% of the value of the booking.)
If you change your mind and want to cancel your booking:
If you cancel up to 2 weeks before arrival: Full repayment (minus an administration fee of 10% of the value of the booking.)
If you cancel later than 2 weeks before arrival: 1. Full repayment if we can find new guests for the tent (usually we can.) 2. If we for some reason can’t find new guests your cancelled date, due to for example weather conditions or late cancellation, there is no repayment.
If you need to cancel due to illness or accident:
If you need to cancel due to severe illness or accident, you receive repayment at any time, if you can show a doctors certificate.
We do no exceptions from the cancellation policy due to bad weather/rain, (as the tents stand for both wind and rain), but if the forecast says extreme weather/storm, we offer to postpone the stay to a later date if possible.
If you wish to change date or postpone your booking:
You can change the date of your booking up until 14 days before arrival at no cost, given there are free dates left to change to. If there are no vacant dates left, we can also offer to postpone the stay to next year, and book a date in advance. If you wish to change the date of your booking later than 14 days before arrival, thats ok too if we can fill upp the original date with a new booking. Contact us and we will try to solve it!

The tent reception is situated inide the restaurant Svartsö Krog, which is a short walk of 200 m from the jetty ”Alsvik” where you get off the boat. You can leave luggage in our reception both before checking in and after checking out. See more info below about how to get here!
At Svartsö Logi we don’t have showers but there are beautiful spots to have a dip in the sea just outside each tent, the tents have a distance to the shoreline of about 5-10 metres. Bath towels and saltwater soap- & shampoo is provided in your tent!
You have free access to the toilets at Svartsö Krog, during nighttime when the restaurant is closed you have access by a key provided when you check in.
We can not serve alcoholic beverages from the restaurant by the tents, due to swedish rules, but feel free to bring your own refreshments! You can borrow wine/champagne glasses and ice bucket if you need, just let us know when you check in. Drinking water is supplied in your tent, and of course you can refill the water for free at Svartsö Krog.
There is a general store, Svartsö Lanthandel, just by the jetty Ahlsvik where you arrive with the boat. See http://www.yourvismawebsite.com/svartso-lanthandel-ab for info and opening hours! They are very well sorted, and also have rental bikes if you want to get around on the island, you can book your bikes in advance to be sure or if you arrive outside the opening hours.
How to get here
To get to Svartsö you travel by boat from central Stockholm, the boat ride with Waxholmsbolaget takes about 1,5-2,5 hours from central Stockholm.
The name of our jetty is: Alsviks brygga on Svartsö. From the jetty there is just short walk of 200 m to the restaurant Svartsö Krog where you check in at the tent reception.
